  • Air Fryer, or Oven (50 degrees warmer)

  • 1/2 lb Ahi Tuna Steak
  • 2 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Sesame Oil
  • 1 tbsp Honey
  • 1/4 tsp Cayenne Pepper

  • Mix all ingredients below tuna together in a plastic sandwich bag with salt and pepper to taste. Add the tuna to bag, and place in the refrigerator to marinade. I prefer 30 minutes to an hour, but you can go as short as 15 minutes or as long as 8 hours.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 400 degrees.
  • For rare, cook 3 minutes.
  • For medium, cook 4 minutes.
  • For well done, cook 5 minutes.
  • Allow the tuna steak to rest 5 minutes, and slice thinly for serving.

All air fryers cook at different speeds.  These recipes are meant to be a general guide.  Cooking times depend on various factors including thickness, cut, and type of meat used.  I use an Instant Pot Vortex Plus shelf air fryer.  If you're using something different, especially a bucket type air fryer, I advise keeping an eye on food so it doesn't under, or overcook.
